Ok, maybe Im misunderstanding something here but being vegetarian has nothing to do with death being a part of life. Compassion is caring about the way we treat others. There is nothing natural about the death of animals in factory farms, its sick, corrupt and cruel the way these animals are treated. That is something NO ONE should accept, period, even if we needed it but the fact that we DON'T need it makes it even worse(and no, we don't need it, I don't care what anyone says, I've survived just fine). Not to mention that meat is not a logical or reasonable staple food for the growing population of billions of people on earth, for many, many environmental and resource reasons. Like I said, sorry if I'm misunderstanding something here but it almost seemed to me that its being said that vegetarianism is the symptom of some sort of
parasite or imbalance or something which I not only find logically maddening (have you looked into the environmental waste of the meat industry?) but also offensive to my intelligence.
Thanks..
PS- And before anyone says oh you can get organic meat and what not that isn't treated bad thats untrue, there have been studies that have shown "organic" means nothing for the life of the animal, so basically unless you can have your own farm and kill your own animals humanely, you DON'T know how that animal has been treated and for most of us having our own farm and hunting our own animals is completely unrealistic and impossible, so being vegetarian is the only way to protest whats going on in this incredibly filthy, wasteful, and cruel industry.
Sorry if I misunderstood something like I said, its just this is a huge part of me and I think its very, very logical and it really is offensive when people talk about it like its some silly little thing or some crazy thing I've yet to get over or anything like that. Maybe I took the comments wrong and if so Im sorry, I'm feeling awful today. =(
