End of the week review
End of Week 2
Date: 8/19/2007 9:38:53 AM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 2468 times I didn't make it to the Farmer's Market yesterday. After a trip to Whole Foods, I realized I have to make going to the Farmer's Market a habit. The only "local" fruit they had were Peaches. I bought some because I added fruit to my morning routine. But, I'm not a fan of peaches. I know apples are growing in West VA. I bought some last week. All of their apples were from South of the Equator. While I do love Gala apples, I'm trying to stick with fruits and veggies grown North of the Equator in August and preferably from the Mid-Atlantic States (and North Carolina). I don't care for celery. I have to get me a new veggie to snack on besides carrots.
One of the things I'm trying to do and implement permanently into my lifestyle is trying a new fruit or veggie. I bought some figs to add to my salad for the week. I never had a fig before (the crap in a Fig Newton doesn't count). I'm looking forward to eating my Spinach, Goat Cheese, Fig, Almond Salad w/ Lemon Tahini dressing (made by me!). Speaking of goat cheese, I cannot get enough of it. I have to get to a Farmer's Market that sells dairy. I don't drive and cannot get to any of the farms.
I joined hiking and backpacking groups. Going to bars and pubs aren't my thing. My first hike is next weekend (either Sat. or Sun). I will post pics, if possible. The hikes will be a weekly thing. Another way for me to meet people.
Physically, I feel good. I didn't have my usual BM this morning. The first time in almost three weeks. I know why. My menstrual is due this week. My body cannot concentrate on two things at once. I need to add some ES to my water so I can keep things moving on a daily basis. When my menstrual arrives, I will go on a fast. I'm not sure what yet. My body does its own colon cleanse right before my menstrual arrives. Its the weirdest thing. I get the best results when I keep things moving until that point. Then it gets rid of crap (no pun intended) that's been around longer than a few days. The cramping is a pain, but I do feel better when its done. Then my menstrual arrives and leaves in about two days. This will be my first one since I started rebuilding so, I'm interested to see how it goes. I drank a lime/yolk drink this morning. I will drink an ES cocktail this evening. Hopefully, that will clear out any stale bile and junk from the liver.
I'm not skin brushing enough. My "that time of the month" fast may be pineapple so I can use the skin to get rid of some dead skin.
Tonight, its "me" time. I've prepared my meals for the week. Did my laundry this morning. After my bookclub meeting and some shopping, I'm going to light some incense, take a very hot ES bath, give me a long overdue pedi and mani, wash my hair with ACV, massage myself with coconut oil and clear my mind. I think that's a great way to prepare for a new week.
