Day 5, 6 and 7
Completed 1 week and broke the fast.
Date: 3/28/2006 10:57:39 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2351 times Hiya Folks. Sorry for the delay and combining these 3 days into one, but I just had to get AWAY from the computer entirely. As previously suggested I did break my fast at 7 days due to an upcoming vacation conflict. All went really well and I feel I achieved a lot of cleansing and healing just with 7 days. Even though I didn't complete the initial goal, I feel it was worth it.
My fast went really smoothly. I feel I could have easily made it 14 days. Education (knowing why you're doing it and understanding what/how/your body is reacting physiologically) is key. That, and staying busy.
My only concern for me individually was the excessive weight loss. As stated, I am a very slightly built person to begin with, so losing over 10 pounds to me makes it almost socially uncomfortable to be seen in public. I can only surmise that perhaps as some of the books state, I was losing unwanted morbid matters and that after they are gone I would gain "good" weight back. Dr Hay writes "the obese lose weight and the thin gain" fter fasting. I hope that is the case as I experiment more in the future.
I am very pleased with my results so far, and cannot wait to get back on the fasting train again early this summer. If so, I will blog that one as well. I will certainly take my experience and lessons learned here to achieve an even more effective fast the 2nd time. Until then, this blog is closed. Thanks for all the supportive comments and thanks for taking the time reading and following along!
Best, PB
