Day 2
Pretty uneventful
Date: 3/22/2006 9:59:38 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1890 times Day 2 consisted of a carbon copy of Day 1, except that by Noon I had a splitting headache. I can only assume this was either a detoxing event, or just a tension headache from working on the computer too much (I have to find a different profession!!). Other than that I felt great. I didn't have high energy but I didn't have any weakness or fatigue. Oh, and my appetite (aka "gnawing hunger pains") were gone today.
After about 3 hours my headache was still there and increasing in intensity so I decided to start treating it with herbs. I usually take 2 Tablespoons of the Barefoot Herbalist's SFL, but I was low on my stock and wanted to conserve what I have until my next shipment. Therefore, I started with a strong Ginger Root and Cayenne tea. That seemed to help some but by 6pm, it was still festering. I made another batch of tea but this time switched to Peppermint. I made a strong batch, but this time added a full dropper of Mullein and Lobelia tincture (Barefoot's Air Restore) to it, and then guzzled it down hot. I had read in Dr. Christopher's book how you could treat headaches with Lobelia, so this combination indeed took another big chunk out of my headache.
With my head pain at bay I was able to do more renovation work on my living room this evening. We are putting in a new wood floor so the beginning stages are always slow going and complicated. We are starting on a wall with french doors that has inset moldings and baseboard heaters so my measurements have to be precise because the 1st row sets the stage for the rest of the floor.
By 9pm it was time to quit and have some dinner. I made my last half pint of fresh sqeezed OJ and added an equal amount of distilled water. I sat down with my wife on the "relocated" sofa and watched a TV program (Golf Channel's Big Break) while sipping dinner from 9-10, then went to bed. All in all a solid day!
