Privatised drug addiction - food, drugs, and diseases are all created for profits. We are moving to privatised controls.

I am reading a story in the papers about OREXIN, a molecule that plays a critical role in stimulating appetite. They found it also makes the brain more receptive to the effects of cocaine.
As the Food Producers and Processors grew into the 20th century, our diets became loaded with sugar. Turns out, sugar acts like a drug on our brains - it is so refined and gives such a whack of sugar to our systems that it has a similiar effect as drugs do. When combined with carbohydrates to appear as a meal, and as we find how well our food cravings are satisfied by a Big Mac kind of meal, we BECOME ADDICTED.
Do you have any doubt that it is addiction you are feeling when you see the big McD billboards at about lunch time?
Okaythen, so processed food is a drug, and we [almost] all got addicted to it. The results is potentially EVERY MODERN DISEASE THERE IS. But we know there are other diseases too, but this addiction covers a lot - arthritis to "ADD" to Alzheimers and PD and heart disease , but maybe not cancer - thats the purvue of toxins.
When we eat , our physical and mental restlessness is calmed. When we eat whole foods, its not such a strong effect; processed foods do it best! , and we know this but we don't really know it, we ignore our own best advice and give in to the foods that will give us the drug-like effect. You know this is true. You don't want to admit it to yourself. It would be easier to do the right thing when choosing a meal if this issue were out in the open, in mass media, more well known.
For ADD people, there is an even greater effect. Saying sugar causes ADD is not quite right tho' - it is that the ADD brain is allways craving sugar - the chemistry of the ADD brain is causing that. Now we see so many adults with ADD, whereas we used to think we grew out of it. We used to outgrow it, but not any more, not with this diet of processed and sugary foods. This explains a lot about the behaviors of adults in our society, and how we are so messed up and anxious and unable to perform mentally like we know we should; thats why we feel like something is wrong but we don't know what it is...

How about loking forward to a world that has addressed regular drug addiction control, to opiates and cocaine etc. It will be PRIVATISED, the worst of all answers to the problem of controlling "illicit" drugs.
Privatised drug addiction of the future will see the supply of heroin distributed thru corporations, Pharmaceuticals I presume but it could be food processors too.
[ No, you have not heard about this yet. I just saw it because other essential sevices are being privatised. It all goes to the corporate world now. ]
Prohibition is the warm-up act to drug control privatisation. So was food processing and the adding of addictive chemcials into our diets.

- No, even I don't, but hopefully it will reveal itself as I delve into it. This issue is a type of "huge undercurrent reality" that has a much greater impact on our lives than we are seing at present.
