What we eat, is what we are theme...
When we eat a bowl of cereal, that most common of all meals in North American society, we have the opportunity to embrace real health or to waste it.
Are we choosing the contents of this bowl based on the most basic of needs, that hunger calling to us through our enteric nervous system? We can elevate it to not only satisfy that hunger craving, but to satify our nutritional needs also.
NOT the basic boxed cereal for starters. The ads, the sugars, the ease of the basic box is compelling, but avoid it. Instead, create your own, and not out of cearls but with a mix of seeds nuts and some grains.
Actually, for me, "some grains" means oatmeal.
Organic 'whole-seed pressed', or steel-cut oatmeal. No wheat - so may do not tolerate gluten, just get away from it to be safe. And other reasons...
Here is a typical bowl I would recommend:
A]Alternative to milk - I like the Almond Milk [avoid soy based alt. milk!!].
B]Some Oats - organic, and not "quick oats", about a third of a cup is all.
C] Add freshly ground [ I use my coffeebean grinder, wiped out first]:
1]FLAXSEED [ I use golden usually]
2]sunflower seeds [they grind up easy into flour]
3]Oat Bran [not freshly ground up is ok I think]
And NOT ground up:
4]Hemp Seed - when I can afford it
Next, add a half a banana -{organic 'nas have 10Xs nutrition what regular 'nas have]
Then, add only HONEY as a sweetner. Use lots, all you want, it will help you poop easier too!
Chew it well, savour it, keep it in your mouth for a long time.
- Remember that the idea is to coat each particle of food with saliva, not just crunching it small enough to swallow.
Now, your blood sugar stabilises, unlike with regular Cugar Pops, etc. Banana plays a key role there.
Also, the oils in the nuts and seeds is completely absent in the typical regular bowl. They will reduce cholesterol and heal everything! Fibre for easy pooping too.

Also, this bowl of cereal I advise gives you a degree of control and responsibility over your diet.
This is very important, because we must re-educate our own brains to see beyond that propagandist brainwashing "American Dream Lifestyle" we were all subjected to. we started to eat they way they told us too, and that advice was based on profits not health.
Wheat and Corn are the highest profits crop [for the food processing industry], so they want us to eat lots of it, nutrition never entered the picture!! Same with SOY - all that fake health advice for soy was put out by the Soy Marketing Board, this is a fact.
