Hold the LEFT arm in front of you and parallel to the ground. Hold the LEFT hand cupped over the ear. Gently strike the left hand to the head in time with the beat of the mantra Sa Ta Na Ma.
LEFT HAND is held as if in a "one handed" prayer pose, palm sligthly cupped and fingers straight.
Stretch the right arm out to the side parallel to the ground. Bend the elbow so that your RIGHT fist is at your ear with the hand like the conch shell. The conch shell represents the great power of creation. Point it forward like a conch shell. The thumb is closed around the fingers.
RIGHT HAND- open the right hand, touch the thumb to the bottom of the little finger, close the fingers over thumb pointing downward covering the palm-this is a fist shape. Plave thumb knuckle near resting gently at you right ear.
The mantra is Saa Taa Naa Maa (There is a sound file for this located at http://100megsfree.com/yoga/meditations.html-the last meditation. This sound will help you get into the experience rather than feeling silly, or as one of your neighbors may pop in to take a picture of you! :-)
Yoga is not for the self concious-unless you lock the doors, draw the blinds, and close the windows! The benfits far out weigh any silliness you may feel.
Chant OUT LOUD until you establish the rhythm.
When you are ready go inside and CHANT SILENTLY
Do the meditation for 11 to 31 minutes
Continue to do this meditation for 11 to 31 minutes a day until you feel centered.
The number of days required relates to your magnetic field in relation to the earth.
Mother earth releases stress in the form of an earthquake. We as humanity take on the stress. We take on the stress because we have the technology to release stress within ourselves.
