Water Fast - Day 15
With that, I am both extreme in my approach and considerate of my body, and proceed again :)
Date: 4/9/2015 8:49:49 PM ( 9 y ) ... viewed 723 times I have officially passed the two week mark. Though I am proud of the accomplishment I am learning a good amount in this fast and am really enjoying the process. I have noticed more than ever the need and benefit of good skin brushing once a day at minimum while deflating so quickly.
Most of all I am interested in dry fasting. My weight fluctuates from 184.0 at the lowest to about 189.0 depending on my hydration and I am really playing around with this to learn more about the topic and experience possibility.
Today I experienced perhaps the most exciting and awesome physical thing of my life. After 18 hours plus of dry fasting, while I know this is not extensive for tenured dry fasters, there is more to what I do. I sauna and burn my water up there. I have a normal job and work throughout the day. After 18 hours I can honestly say my level of thirst becomes all but consuming. This is when my current weight reaches 184.0.
I sat in the sun with 32 oz of cold lemon water after this period. I know the joy of breaking a fast, even a long one. I know the joy of achieving workouts that I was not able to do before. On a physical level, this was one of the greatest joys I have ever had.
This may sound boring to many as to me a water fast is more routine. I do not lessen it's value in saying this in any way. I know of no better way to detoxify the deep layers of toxins in the fat I store over a period of time. Fat loss for me is easy when I am clean. The last 5 pounds melt off like the first 5 pounds. I do not believe in stubborn fat, only toxic fat that needs cleansing first. Our bodies keep fat to protect us from these toxins so I do not fight against it anymore.
I do not primarily do water fasting for weight loss. The main reason for me physically is to put my body in a state of my youth on every level. From there the emotional healing and spiritual opening naturally occur more rapidly when I am lighter (meaning of light, not by measure of weight).
So I am again off to study the effects of dry fasting once again right now. The fast is as I said - it is easy for me but I do not take the easy times for granted. I have had sudden rough waters in the past and am willing for whatever occurs. At the same time, I appreciate the days as they are now.
On a final note if one wants to take away hunger pains, I recommend adding thirst pains to a degree. This is a recommendation I would only make for someone in tune with their bodies and willing to not stretch dehydration to any extreme forms, especially in the beginning.
With that, I am both extreme in my approach and considerate of my body, and proceed again :)
