March 18, 2011

I didn't feel that horrible such as aches, but I have to say that I didn't sleep that great, as I couldn't get comfortable. I push Mekong off me a couple times and she finally went somewhere outside my bedroom. It was funny because as I was really trying to settle down and get some non restless sleep, she came back and laid on me. I have to say that I was kind of happy because I missed her. LOL While I laid in bed, I thought I would take my heart rate since I was at a resting state. I took it and it was at 13 beats at 10 seconds, which means that my heart was beating 78 beats per minute. That is the same it ever was. I thought my heart was suppose to slow down during a fast. Then again, I was really tossing and turning in bed, so maybe that upped my heart rate a bit.

I still was cold, so I had to put on the legwarmers and a tank top under my clothing, even though it is suppose to get up to the possible 60's today. I brushed my teeth and tongue again. I hate the nastiness that I taste in my mouth. I gagged a bit. I forgot to mention that I dry brushed my skin a bit before my long shower, which the hot water caused me to gag a bit. I have had that happen in previous fast, so I am kind of expecting something like that in the a couple days since Day 12 is coming up and that usually is horrible fight for me. But so far, I just feel a bit achy, but not nauseous at all. I have a bit of a sour stomach here and there, but nothing that makes me feel ill.

On my way leaving the in my car, I was talking to God. As I was pulling out, I saw my neighbors, which I have never spoken to. A man and a woman. The guy was carrying a baby carrier, and I couldn't help up admire the little family. In a moment of weakness, I told God that I wish my life was like that. It was odd that telling God that, I didn't have much to say after that, as it made me feel really vunerable, even though no other human was around.

I listened on KLOVE about the runner that was eating McDonalds every day before running a marathon. He is raising money for Ronald McDonald House. That is a good thing, but I wonder if the fast food will affect him like it did with the guy from the documentary Super Size Me. Maybe because this guy is more athletic, that the affects are lesser. I am not certain, but I am sure it isn't good for him regardless. I hope he knows that he is doing.

I have drank about 24 ounce of water so far today, as I am drinking a little bit due to thirst, as I am a little bit thirsty. I am not overloading my body with water, but I still want to make sure that I am getting enough.

I did notice one difference today, as I was walking to the Courthouse to run an early morning errand, what my right hip was hurting and was limping. In the past, I have had a couple issues with my hips. When I was much younger ( a teenager) my hip would feel out of socket and it would be hard to move my right leg. I haven't had that issue in a while. I must be healing something there for it to be aggravated. I hope doesn't mean something bad. It doesn't hurt much and not surprising to me, as I have had pain issues once in a while along my right hip. I will have to watch it.

Today's Lenten Focus for March 18, 2011

Pour out Your Spirit on us

Read: John 7:37-39

Today I focus on praying that the people of our city will be thirty for the water that only Jesus can give them and for families in our community to be totally flooded with God's love for us.

More then anything I want God to pour His spirit on me, as I wanted to be filled with His love and goodness. I have lived a while without Him comfort and guidance, that to feel His closeness would be wonderful. I have been praying more and more thought out my day, which feels nice. Sometimes while running errands, I see someone and I pray for him or her, even thought I don't know them. It is nice to be actively praying again as I use to.

I must confess that I did something out of the ordinary yesterday, which I forgot to document, or was contemplating documenting it. I had to do a bit of research for an address online for one of our clients, and once I was done with that, I looked up three of my ex-boyfriends online. You can say that I had a pity party just seeing their names on the screen. I found out that K. is now engaged, which made me feel a bit horrible. I went though all the motions of wondering if I wasn't pretty enough, or confident enough. Was it because I didn't have children, as he didn't want any. Was it because I wasn't strong enough emotionally? Then I went and picked apart my relationship with Travis and then Rob. I strangely didn't cry over my past losses, but I did miss Phil. I wondered maybe if I was too harsh and demanding on him. Maybe I didn't love him enough So yesterday, I felt a bit low, because I realized how isolated regarding dating, as I only had 4 major relationships in my life(J., Rob, Travis and Phil) and one that lasted 5 months (K.). Most of the relationships didn't last more then 3 years. J was three years, Rob was 2 ½, Travis was 2 ½ and Phil was about year and a half too separate times (approximately close to 3 years) Out of 18 years, I have spent dating only 4 men, so you can say that I really don't know how to date or more accurately, I don't feel comfortable speed dating or serial dating.

I guess that is one reason why the internet can be horrible. It can tempt you to do things that one should do. I guess that is one reason why marriages break up, and how people are more likely to cheat, as they can find old boyfriends and hook up. It is one of the worst Cons that the Internet

Enough of that.
