The Signs are Everywhere
I just have to pay attention to them
Date: 9/25/2007 4:01:22 AM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 3360 times Yes, I'm getting the message from every corner of my life that I need to re-establish regular walking into my daily schedule.
Don't know if my readers had realized it by now (probably so) but just to clarify, when I don't blog about my walking for months at a time, the underlying truth probably is that I have stopped doing my walking.
What I'm getting is that I need to start walking again immediately, on a DAILY basis. This town I live in is great for walking, which I'm grateful for. It's safe, enjoyable, and scenic. Lots of amazing walking paths.
In a way, I'm excited about starting up with walking again. The main challenge is making time for it. With my 10 and most often 11 hour workshifts 4 days a week, plus the 20 hours a week I spend providing open hours at my private practice, I sometimes barely fit sleep and some family time into the cracks and crevices that remain to be filled. Mostly sleep. But walking will energize everything else, hopefully. That's what usually happens. Funny how a little exercise will do that for a person.
My diet is light years healthier now than it was a year ago. I'm losing weight and people have started to notice. Mostly, my clothes fit looser. Soon, I'll have a massive collection of plus size womens' clothes to sell/barter/give away.
And so it goes...
