End of Man? 18 y
"Earth...has a strong heart. Have we broken it?"
Whitley Strieber has written an amazing article on his website about global warming. It’s one of the best articles I’ve experienced. I quote it here from Whitley Strieber’s Unknown Country website:

The End of Man?
by Whitley Strieber
Tuesday July 25th, 2006
As the summer of 2006 rages on, with heatwaves stretching from the American Pacific coast all the way across the North Atlantic to Europe and virtually around the world, we now discover that the great Amazonian rain forest has perhaps a year to live.
If there is no rain in the Amazon basi ... read more

life situations
Just when I’m on ”automatic pilot” in my life and most everything is going relatively smoothly, a bunch of stuff has gone out of adjustment nearly all at once.
Now I know if I intervene where needed and step back where needed, provided that I make the correct determinations as to what is needed where, that things will smooth out again eventually. Soon would be best.
But when a bunch of different stress-inducing situations occur nearly simultaneously, even the strongest among us could be at a loss when it comes to making a snap decision as to how to react in the moment and in the mom ... read more

to an amazing couple and 10 goats...
CureZone Readers,
A friend sent me an email today with parts of the article below summarized in it, and it intrigued me so I decided to do an internet search to find the source. Found a place where the article is quoted by Judith Warner, as I couldn’t find a way to view the wonderful original article online at the Spokesman-Review website. It’s all about a world-building alternate to the American tradition of wedding gift registries...

A friend’s website today offered a gift: this link to a short video called ”Store Wars” which is all about vegetables rebelling against stuff like chemical pesticides and irradiation, the ”Organic Rebellion.” Reminiscent of ”Star Wars.” Fun to watch and perfect to share with friends and relatives!

in a Pete Townsend song adapted from Meher Baba's Universal Prayer
Over the years of recovery I’ve gratefully experienced, I’ve never found a song that better describes how I perceive my Higher Power than this one, ”Parvardigar”, which is on Pete Townsend’s Who Came First album. It’s quite a magnificent song, do listen to it if you have a chance! And now, the lyrics:

Many people I know have had to struggle just to get the health care they need with an HMO that’s here there and everywhere in the US. Many have not gotten the care they needed, even though they clearly communicated what their specific needs were, or were in such a state of medical emergency that they could not communicate their medical needs. Unneccessary deaths occur daily due to upper management policies affecting front line care of HMO patients.
CureZone is an inredible resource, as it provides possibilities for self-care for people who work for a living and have no choice but HMO c ... read more

what else would vibr8 be doing this holiday weekend....
So often when I am here at my studio doing open office hours, an afternoon of ’net surfing reveals startling new vistas never before in the realm of my awareness. Time travel is the discovery du jour for me. Now of course I’ve heard of time travel; we all have. Who hasn’t seen the original Time Machine movie or perhaps read the book by H.G. Wells? Yet we all know there are two distinct worlds: science fiction and science fact. Or are there? Seems like there are many bridges between the two worlds, and many junctures where the boundaries are indistinct or absolutely nonexistent.

Every now and then I remember important information that I want to share with you in CureZoneLand. This is one of those times.
A few years ago a barista in one of my favorite places to drink a nice cold chai in the summertime told me she was attending the Seven Bowls School of Nutrition. It’s located less than 20 miles from where I live, and I’ve been meaning to visit there, but have not had a chance to. I’ve visited their website, though. Neat how we can do that so easily these days and get an idea of what something is without actually going there in person. It sorely lacks a thir ... read more

I’m excited about an old friend (with her 2 children and husband) who’s coming to visit Colorado in July.

Just received this in an email from the Raw Foods group where I live. Someone in our group is starting an e-group for travellers. Her idea is to make it easy for raw foodists on vacation to connect with other raw foodists and/or information about proximity of good raw food restaurants, stores, raw potlucks, etc. It’s free to join, you just need a Yahoo ID and password (also free) and here’s the link:

Creating Sacred Space
Months ago when I went to a delightful seminar for VIBE Practitioners in Greeley, I received a bundle of neatly milled sticks of wood of various sizes, referred to as ”dowels.” At the seminar, we were told what the dowels were for, but apparently that key information went, literally, in one ear and out the other when it came to me. I went home with the bundle of wood pieces, and took the bundle to my office the next day, placing it behind some files on a desk in the corner, and there it sat, perfectly still, until the Summer Solstice.
On that day, a few days ago, an Acupuncturist I kn ... read more
