100% Raw or Not?
Psychologists have found that in any situation 5% will go to the extreme, and 95% won’t. In Japanese prisoner-of-war camps, they had only to separate 5% of the men (the gang-leaders) and the rest would never try to escape.
The 5% are teachers and leaders. The rest of us are the students, happy to learn from and be inspired by a good teacher. Of course you can be a teacher in one world and a student in another.
Once you experience raw foods are healthiest, then it’s likely you’ll join the 95% of raw-foodists who eat a little cooked fo ... read more

How a Raw Food Diet has Helped My Diabetes
by Cyrus Khambatta
Monday, 13 June 2005

Some Like It Raw: Why Switch to a Living Foods Diet?
By Michael Klein
Living foods are the key to our health and longevity. They allow our bodies to perform as they were meant to. Our bodies have evolved over a four million year period. For 3,950,000 of those years we ate only raw, living foods. It is only recently that we have begun eating cooked food. When we look at other mammals in nature, we do not see any significant incidence of the diseases that have become pervasive in humans. No cancer, heart disease, strokes or diabetes.

One of the best ways to improve the appearance of your skin is by incorporating raw food into your diet. Beautiful skin starts from the inside out. People who switch to eating mostly raw food often see an improvement in their skin and look younger.

When Neil Armstrong was a little boy he used to have the dreamlike sensation that he was floating. When I was young I used to feel that I could be happy, healthy, radiant, eat whatever I enjoyed, and not have to think about my weight.
Now 20 years later, like Neil Armstrong, I have achieved my goal. I am able to eat by the bushel things I previously had believed were fattening no-no’s in large amounts - nuts, avocados, dates, along with lots of fruit and salads with oily dressings. The one stipulation ... read more

Most people live on an omnivorous diet – that is, anything that it is possible to chew up and swallow and live long enough to tell about it, they will eat. But for one reason or another, many people have decided to adopt some restrictions.
Sometimes the reason is one’s alignment with a religious tradition. For instance, some people won’t drink wine or eat pork, or eat meat on Fridays, or they won’t eat unleavened bread on c ... read more

Live foods are foods that still have the vitality of the plants and soil that produced them. All of the enzymes, minerals, vitamins, nutrients, and life-giving energies of the food are still intact. If you take any unbroken seeds from the ingredients in a live foods dish, they are still viable. Under the proper conditions, they will grow into a new plant. They are alive - and you are consuming them so that you, too, will alive and vital. This is why they’re called live foods.

In the last twenty five years, there has been a resurrection in the definition of medicine, a resurrection that amplifies the significance of our eating habits and our lifestyle. Medicine is not only defined as a treatment for illness and disease, it is now understood to be for the prevention of illness and disease. That would mean, for example, laughter is a medicine because research found it to boost the immune system. Exercise is good medicine for its cardio-vascular stimulation, muscle t ... read more
