Fruit/Candida 18 y
Even people like Dr. Crook are rethinking their stance on high protein/no fruit when it comes to feeding candida.
I have candida or a yeast infection. How can I eat so much fruit?
Excess fat is the culprit in candida, not sugar, per se. When fat levels in the blood rise, so does blood sugar, because excess fat inhibits insulin from performing its function of escorting sugar out of the bloodstream. The excess fat lines the blood vessel walls, the cells, insulin receptor sites, the sugar molecules themselves, and the insulin with a thin coating of fat, thus blocking and inhibiting normal metabolic activity.
Too much sugar in the blood is as life threatening as too little and can result in ser ... read more

Here is a good article from Dr. Dina concerning Essential Fatty Acids and how we can convert DHA without the need for animal protein.
Essential Fats and the Organic Athlete, Part 1
Contributed by Dr. Rick Dina
Monday, 27 September 2004
Whereas fats have traditionally been considered primarily as a source of calories and for their insulating properties, more recent research has uncovered a myriad of important functions in which fatty acids play a critical role. These includes such functions as hormone regulation, cell division, creating smooth and soft skin, creating stable heart rhythms, reducing platelet stickiness, regulating inflammatory processes, and becoming major parts of our cell membranes, which surround and ... read more

I don't agree with the part of the article that suggests that canola and soybean oils are in anyway healthy. In fact they are quite the opposite.

Fatty Acids
By Terry Jensen
The assumption that fat is bad has permeated our society for twenty years. Fat phobia may be even more prevalent among vegetarians and vegans. Overwhelming information exists to show this is a serious flaw in our thinking.
Don’t rush to fill your ice-cream bowl, wolf down some tempura, or consume a breakfast of eggs and pancakes, however, because the types of fat eaten still remain at the root of our health problems.
However, in our rush to throw ... read more

Going Raw
Life Changing Results
My philosophy is this, “If we look to the earth, the natural flow of our bodies, trust our bodies and learn their language then we will never be lead astray in our own health.”
I believe humans have the knowledge within them to be stewards over their lives and health. We have forgotten that knowledge. If we put forth a little effort we can remember it or relearn it. We have given our power over to many other people, governments and institutions. We have lost faith in our own ability, our bodies and lives ability to heal.

Meat and Violence 19 y
Is there a correlation between meat eating and defensiveness, anger, guilt, frustration etc?
I have talked to many excellent healers about this and most seem to think this is true, based on their clinical experiences. I would concur as well and add it also helps solidify a victim consciousness for obvious reasons.

The correlation between people who eat meat and violence
Dr. J. Robert Hatherill is a research scientist and faculty member of the Environmental Studies Department, University of California, Santa Barbara. Although most Americans believe that the steady diet of violence in the media is leading to a more violent world, in reality it may be a steady diet of heavy metals and pesticides that is sending teens over the edge.
Perhaps in addition to checking our children for guns and explosives we should be checking their blood for elevated level ... read more

Vegans Win Return of Children; Criminal Trial to Follow
Joseph and Lamoy Andressohn, the vegan parents whose children were summarily removed from them after the death of their infant daughter by birth defect 28 months ago, will soon reunite with their surviving children, a Florida juvenile court judge has ruled. Judge William Thomas specifically held that the State of Florida failed to prove manslaughter in the death of 5 1/2 month old Woyah Andressohn. He further found that the Andressohns do not pose a threat of future harm to their surviving children. They n ... read more

Undereat for Good Nutrition
Dr. Gabriel Cousens writes, “The most important single rule in nutrition is undereat!!!”
He continues “This rule takes precedence over all other dietary advice… In experiments with animals, the undereaters ’in general, were more youthful, vigorous, and energetic, when compared to normals, and showed minimal to no chronic degenerative diseases.’
”The raw foods diet is a natural form of undereating and calorie restriction. You receive all of your nutrients with half the amount of food, and you’re not hungry.”

Q: Increasing fertility?
Viktor: A plant-based diet increases circulation, and thus fertility. It’s becoming more accepted by physicians every day.
Q: Dr. Robert Young and his pH balance book?
Viktor: It’s a start, and can help a bit, but Young’s program is far from holistic. Hydrati ... read more
