Summary of Interview with Viktoras Kulvinskas
Q: Probiotic foods?
Viktor: Phenomenal when done correctly; don't do them until you've re-alkalinized yourself.
Q: Diabetes?
Viktor: Both types of diabetes are reversible quickly through a raw living foods program.
Q: Increasing fertility?
Viktor: A plant-based diet increases circulation, and thus fertility. It's becoming more accepted by physicians every day.
Q: Dr. Robert Young and his pH balance book?
Viktor: It's a start, and can help a bit, but Young's program is far from holistic. Hydration and a plant-based diet are important issues that Young doesn't address. Viktor shared some stories about his ongoing work with Dick Gregory as his wellness coach, then went on to say that the supplements don't work like a plant-based diet. Supplements may extend life 5-8 years, but without diet consciousness you're working against the tide. Your diet needs to be in harmony with your emotional, mental and spiritual planes, otherwise you'll be attracted to comfort foods.
Q: Blood pressure not down after eating raw foods for a month?
Viktor: Add cayenne to drinks to dilate the capillaries, keep doing trampoline and colonic irrigation. The issue is cleaning out the blood vessels. Eat a plant-based diet to increase the enzymatic environment. Juice sprouts, too. The stronger the taste, the stronger the enzymes.
Q: Water fasting and colonics?
Viktor: Reabsorption - we are too toxic as individuals; we need cleaning internally as well as externally. Colonic irrigation is important during fasting - hardening occurs, thus unnecessary pain and suffering occur. One argument goes, "Animals don't take enemas." No, and they don't have colons full of impacted fecal matter due to eating cooked food, either.
Q: B12 supplements for vegans?
Viktor: I don't take B12 supplements. My GI tract gets more than adequate B vitamins. There are over 50 ways to get B12 deficiency; it's lifestyle related. Detoxification and good nutritional habits can be developed, and within a few years healthy bacteria will be flourishing.
Q: Sweeteners?
Viktor: None are good. If you must have it, use a small dose! A teaspoon of honey during the day your body can tolerate, but putting it in tea drinks continually is too much. Significant triglyceride production is a stress to the body.
Q: Emotional detoxification?
Viktor: See The Handbook of Higher Consciousness, by Ken Keyes: learn to convert your addictions to preferences, modify your attitudes; communication of stress is an opportunity to experience different levels of awareness. Your state of consciousness is 24/7/365.
Q: Hair loss?
Viktor: Soil conditioning, moisture, proper pH, many factors affect this. Your scalp needs increased blood flow: massage of reflex points, inverted postures help. Sea vegetables provide minerals for your soil, arame, hiziki, wakame, dulse, hydration. Massaging all tips of the toes is related to scalp. Prayer helps, too.
Q: Osteoporosis?
Viktor: Varies by individual. Look at your lifestyle, do weight training to increase bone mass - this is a must. Lightly fermented sesame and sunflower mylks with black mission figs are a great calcium builder. Probiotics increase mineral absorption if one is alkaline. Resistance training and good sources of calcium from whole, living foods in a context of friendly bacteria that maximize mineral availability is the solution. Adequate sunlight is required to absorb vitamin D. Examples of people that did this and regained bone mass in as little as six months.
Q: Comfrey?
Viktor: A good source of bone building and calcium. Great for broken bones. Grows itself.
Q: Kinesiology?
Viktor: It works; I have over 20 years of personal experience and practice. I call it "Energy Medicine."
Viktor final statement before we rang off: "Let's do this again next month!"
