Looking forward, we are undertaking
the Cleanup of New Orleans. There
are lessons here to learn from the Valdez
Oil Spill of 1989,
Last night, I spend some down time recovering
from the recent Pacific Symposium, a gathering
of Oriental Medicine Practitioners, Massage folks,
and the herballly interested.
I watched one of my favorite movies on AMC-”FIeld of Dreams”--
a real tear jerker for me.
I was horrified by the commercials in light of
attending the conference and hearing John Abramson M.D.
speak about his book ”Overdosing America.”
I have also been writing a lot this week about the impending
Cleaning up of New Orleans that was inspired by this blog

This needs to be a different kind of holiday
season. We need some deep listening,
loving, and peace on earth.
The US Army Corps of Engineers is now being assigned
the task of sending innocent lives into the streets of the decimated
parts of New Orleans to attempt to reclaim what is now the equivalent
of a Hazardous waste dump. If we go ahead and use the current
popular ways of cleanup, I am concerned we are going to end
up with a lot of sick young folks as we did when we did the cleanup
of of the Valdez in the 80’s.

Earth a case of Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)
She is sending signs of her pain
through recent attempts to wash herself clean.
This is a photo of a Dolphin
that was likely injured by contact with
Chemical Weapons that had leaked off the shores
of the US.
Hundreds of dolphins washed ashore in Virginia and New Jersey shorelines in 1987 with burns similar to mustard gas exposure. One marine-mammal specialist suspects Army-dumped chemical weapons killed them.

Just finished the Pacific Symposium...
Providing continuing Education in Acupuncture,
Massage and Herbal Medicine.
at the Catamaran Resort Hotel
San Diego, CA
I was in bad spirits during much of the Conference,
part of me wanting to be somewhere else.
I will get into that later.
It all ended really sweetly.
