BREATHING EXERCISES IMPROVE ASTHMA
Learning to breathe properly could ‘significantly improve’ asthma and quality

Meeting (Thursday 4th December).
Nurse, Jill McGowan, led the world’s largest clinical trial to measure the

Asthma is the body’s defence against over-breathing. You are breathing in excess of your body’s needs. The carbon dioxide you are breathing out is a smooth muscle relaxant and is the body’s own natural bronchodilator. That means as your levels of carbon dioxide fall your airways become tight and constricted. While your bronchodilators bring immediate relief, there is considerable evidence that they are associated with a worsening of asthma and asthma related deaths. The worse your condition the more desperately you need the understanding to control asthma symptoms. Tell your doctor that sc ...

Re: Buteyko Breathing Technique for Asthma
by artour_rakhimov 13 y
The most comprehensive and detailed free instructions for the Buteyko breathing technique can be found on this web page:
http://www.normalbreathing.com/learn.php
If one improves his breathing (breathing is measured using a stress-free breath holding time after exhalation, see the site for complete instructions) up to 25 s 24/7, no meds are necessary. If you get over 40 s 24/7, all lung function tests will be normal.

Free book-manual “Amazing DIY breathing device”
by artour_rakhimov 14 y
For over 7 years I have been teaching breathing normalization to groups of people in Canada, USA, and other countries with spectacular results. Most students with asthma become symptom- and medication-free within 1-2 weeks. Even students with more severe conditions experience quick relief.
During last several months, apart from teaching Buteyko breathing exercises (that require a practitioner), I also made and explained to my students how to use a simple DIY breathing device (similar to Frolov breathing device, but about a hundred times cheaper). Most my students (over 90%) testified, ...

The book Close Your Mouth and ABC to be asthma free are self help books to
teach yourself the Buteykjo clinic method. They are available from
http://www.amazon.com
for USA and amazon.co.uk for UK and other countries.
The Buteyko method is proven, safe and very effective. There is no other
complimentary therapy that gets the results that this gets. For example,
after ten and twenty years of coughing and wheezing, symptoms should be
reduced by 50% in two weeks.
Scientific trials as published in the New Zealand and Australian medical
journal concluded the need for preventer s ...

Asthmatics breathe heavy all the time, hence ....R by artour_rakhimov 15 y
View Entire Thread 4
In 1968 The New England Journal of Medicine published the results of a large study in which breathing and blood gases of a group of asthmatics were investigated. The researchers found that all 101 tested patients had chronic hyperventilation (over-breathing). Those asthmatics who had a light or moderate degree of the disease breathed about 15 l of air per min or 2.5 times more than the official medical norm, which is 6 l/min.
More recently, in 1995, American researchers from the Mayo Clinic and Foundation (Rochester) confirmed the same average value (about 15 l/min) for another group of ...

proven in clinical trials to permanently cure asthma. Even if you don’t have asthma chronically it is still helpful for overall health. Using the breathing method I went from gasping, hyperventilation at rest to being able to hike up steep hills whle barely breathing through my nose.
I recommend also a *gradual* transition off of ALL drugs and medication, and using natural healing for whatever ails you. I also recommend getting away from T.V. and going outside, even if you can’t walk much.

Tightness in chest
by Watashi 18 y
For the past 8 months or so I’ve had tightness in my chest 24/7, along with a formal diagnosis of asthma. I also often have a feeling in my throat of pressure, like someone’s choking me. To say the least, it is uncomfortable and disturbing. I feel like I’ve tried everything: Buteyko, juicing and coffee enemas, a parasite cleanse, liver flush, a course of high-dose oregano oil, coconut oil, all to no avail. I was tested for mycobacteria, thinking that I might benefit from long-term antibiotics, but tested negative.
My asthma is strange in that my nose is clear (I’m always able to bre ...

Hi! I just posted this message in an answer but I think it could be helpful to post it here too.
Some 8 months ago I was taking 3 to 4 puffs a day (and still feeling physically bad) when I discovered Buteyko’ Method. And I wanted to share it with you. I still need it once in a while, but I could even make it 2 entire months without any medicament while I was making a lot of sports.
What I can recommend you is ALWAYS breath through the nose (also by doing sports and sleeping!). If you feel you physically can’t because you need more air, it’s a sign that you should stop doing whatever ...

Miller’s book is a sham since he shows/shares no proof of emphysema nor any proof of REVERSAL of emphysema and his mother died shortly after the first edition of the book came out. He initially blamed his sister for killing MOM by not feeding her correctly and letting her relapse. Emphysema is not a disease that comes and goes in a minute. He later (9years after Mom’s death) comes up with a NEW reason for Mom dying...He said she forgot to take her seizure meds.
He brags of 8000 people worldwide curing themselves but has not ONE to share any scientific data to prove REVERSAL. He is jus ...

Stop asthma attacks using basic breath controlR by artour_rakhimov 16 y
View Entire Thread 2
by Dr. Artour Rakhimov The exercise was used by over 200 Soviet and Russian doctors who have been practicing the Buteyko breathing self-oxygenation method. They taught it to many thousands of people. The exercise helps, in most cases, to stop asthma attacks without using bronchodilators. (I translated many Russian medical papers.)
Practical actions
Sit down in any chair, couch, sofa or divan for better relaxation. If there are no objects to sit on, sit on the ground/floor, e.g. on your knees or with criss-crossed legs. Relax all your muscles. Focus on your breathing. It must be huge. ...

I know your pain! When you can’t get a breath, nothing else matters. I have asthma and enphysema. I couldn’t walk 10 feet without sitting down to rest. Now I describe myself as a recoverng asthmatic. There are a number of parts to recovering.
I was having severe asthma attacks. The doctors taught me the
”proper” way to breath. Then someone told me about a process
called the Buteyko Method. I will shorten this story by saying
that I started breathing gently through my nose. 100% of the time
through my nose. Once I did that I have not had a single asthma
attack. My story is long so ...

by artour_rakhimov 14 y
This simple breathing exercise (remedy and solution) to unblock the nose was developed by Russian doctors practicing the Buteyko method. Around 200 MDs taught it to hundreds of their patients with mouth breathing. Most patients, according to clinical experience of these doctors, could clear their nose and resume their nasal breathing in about one-two minutes naturally. This remedy also works for people with chronic nose problem and symptoms of fatigue. The exercise can be applied during nights as well (see below).

What I can recommend you is ALWAYS breath through the nose (also by doing sports and sleeping!). If you feel you physically can’t because you need more air, it’s a sign that you should stop doing whatever you are doing. Don’t worry, this will be at the beginning only. Later your physical energy will get much better.
At night sale your mouth with tape, so you don’t hyperventilate while sleep. If your nose is blocked, try to unblo ...
