Definitely, most people switch to vegetarian when they realize they are getting sicker and have no other solutions. Avoid the bad stuff like wheat/gluten products, avoid soy products, avoid fried, and add a lot more raw fruits and some raw veggies/greens too. No need to be 100% raw, but the extreme health guru’s go almost completely raw.
Best bet is to find role models, books, youtube, instagram? depends if you like reading or keeping up with current trends. Some of these youtubers or instagrammers are also coaches if you need such.
