Molly's absolutely right - medical doctors are compelled to medicate their patients due to ignorance, "God Syndrome," and pressure from the all-powerful pharmacorporations. The whole idea of medical doctors is to get people to believe that they cannot take responsibility for their own health and, therefore, must rely ENTIRELY upon the opinions and directions of their doctors. Once you're on a medication, you have to keep returning to the office for..."follow-up" appointments. It's all horsepuckie, particularly where acid reflux is concerned. Changes in diet, ALONE, can eliminate acid reflux.

Ack, Molly. I'm supposed to be coffee-free, but I just can't bring myself to do it, yet!

My natural doc (who, incidentally, charges NOTHING for a consultation and only charges for procedures like colonics, etc.) gave me the following organ cleanse - I will say that you have to make your own decisions as to your choices, but I found that this worked quite well for me:
Days 1-5: 1 quart of organic apple juice, regular meals
Day 6: 1 quart of apple juice in AM, clear liquid diet ONLY
6PM - 1 TBS Epsom Salt in 8 oz water & drink
8PM - 1 TBS Epsom Salt in 8 oz water & drink
10PM - 4 oz. lemon juice mixed with 4 oz. olive oil & drink
Day 7: stay at home near the john, but everything should have cleansed the previous night.

DRINK OLIVE OIL???? Yepper - it wasn't nearly as difficult as drinking the espom salts, for me! And, mixed with the lemon juice, it was actually tolerable. I should be doing this about every 3 months and I've been kind of slack, lately.
