I do make home made soup for the family on occasion. Most of the year round it's too hot here for soup. I do eat apples, love apples. They are also pretty hit and miss as far as quality goes. The carrots aren't too bad and spuds (potatoes) are usually not too bad. Everything else is really suspect most of the time. I can get much better quality stuff an hours drive away, might just have to get back into the habit of doing that. Actually come to think about it, my son (a talented guitarist) wants to learn piano and the nearest lessons I could find are in the next town an hour away. I could go shopping whilst he is tinkling the ivories.
Oh and you mentioned garlic... I LOVE garlic. Use it all the time.
*edit* Just ordered some modifilan, had to go all the way to Canada to get it. Hope it's worth it.
