Just wanted to let you know that I also get those dark purple scars after each pimple. From what I understand it is caused by excess melanin (skin pigment) which is a result of the zit being inflamed for a long period of time. You might try holding an ice cube on the pimple, this didn't make a difference for me, but we are all different.
I would highly advise you to take the advice of the others in this forum, and begin an internal cleansing program. Once you've stopped the acne, you'll stop the scars. Cleansing truely does work! I actually did clear up my Acne once, but then went back to eating all the "bad foods", got frustrated and stopped cleansing, and now i'm back where I started.
