Re: McDonald's Fries - Good Reading!

yeah times were simpler when i was a kid and there was the moon landing and all the relatives gathered to can fruit and vegetables and all that junk.  the junk food had a grip, though and they were putting it out there more and more.  i think humans have always suppressed and degraded other humans, but with capitalism and subsiquent bureaucracy, it is now easier and can be done with no personal accountability.  in college we learned why food is not given to everyone.  it is because it depletes the earth's resources quicker.  rich people (the ones who control the gov't) do not want to do this.  they want themselves and their families to be rich and they think about 10 yrs down the road.  they figure if they can make tons on money in 10 yrs, they are set for life and their families have a huge head start.  the fact that most humans are so complacent and accepting what the rich corporations are doing is very sad.  they depend on it and so far it has worked very well for them.  we eat what they give us and don't complain, for the most part.  as a whole, we trust the food industry and the goverment.  in our society, the ones who buy organic are still seen as weird.  even most heath nuts are dropping my mcdonald's sometimes.

the general public doesn't know about the chemicals in food and i don't see that changing.  the big corporations and government protect the tainted food industry with propaganda that says how tasty and healthy it is, when it is really killing us with cancer and other diseases.  money talks.  and most humans do not have time to study what they eat, nor would most know how, nor would most know what to do about it even if they found out it was bad.  i mean, many of us know and we haven't gotten anywhere.  if you think we have, all you need to do is look at how aspartame is reinventing itself and still on the market.  i am watching my cousin die of cancer and i know it has to do with diet and all the mercury in his mouth.  but my ideas seem outrageously far-fetched to him and his family.  i have seen what they eat.  they think it is the typical american diet and ok to eat.  some of us here on curezone would take one look at it, shake our heads and run for the trash bags.

until humans learn how to go after the corporations who are poisoning people and actually get the products off the market or changed, i do not see things improving much.  and i don't know if it is even possible, since they have the money to stop it.  i have heard mcdonald's fries are some of the worst things you can eat, but they remain a favored icon and sell by the millions every day.
