I had read this a couple of days ago
and still find myself thinking about
it. It made me wonder what the food
of the future might be like. They could
make anything look like fake anything
and spray it down with hamburger scent
or the scent of whatever it was supposed
to be (like) and we would become acclimated
to eating cardboard or genetically modified
cardboard which could have the recombinant
DNA of a hybrid of things. I found myself
thinking how lucky I was to eat food when
it was really food and that the smell of
cooking from the kitchen was as really
real as homemade apple pie.
