Re: Why water?

Hi Somer,

I have done numerous juice and master cleanses and I agree that when I did those, I was walking around like I was in love, just super euphoric and happy and glowing. I find Water Fasting more serious and earthy and grounding. I think it is tougher and my energy and mood seem to go up and down a lot. I do have moments though of extreme calmness and a very serene happiness.

I'm doing Water Fasting because I need serious healing and I want to take advantage of this window of time where I don't have to work and I can rest when I want and it doens't matter if my skin looks like hell since I have no one to see except my fiance.

I don't want to do juicing and The Master Cleanse since I have developed diabetes and I seem to have mild candida so there is just too much Sugar and carbs involved with doing anything but water.

When I did juicing and the MC, my allergies never went away, whereas they have been nonexistent on this water fast, and for me, that is a sign that much greater healing is going on and I really need that.

Also, I kind of like the fact that there is no work involved in water fasting. It makes it possible to be totally lazy and still heal the body :)

Now that I am on day 17, I am glad I went this route and today I am feeling particularly good, almost hyper. I do also think that juicing and the Master-Cleanse is better if you need to stay active. I don't, so it's perfectly fine if I don't get much accomplished in the day or go to the gym or go to work.

I also think Water Fasting is great if you aren't super toxic to begin with or someone who drinks a lot of caffeine, smokes, drinks or consumes large quantities of bad fats and sugars.

In any case, it does get easier. I started to hit my groove around the 4th or 5th day.

Best of luck in whatever you decide!
