I should have stressed in the earlier post that 49% of Breast Cancer patients get lymphedema if you follow them out for 20 years. So it is very likely the swelling is caused by the procedure.

It is important that your sister immediately contact the surgeon who did the breast and lymph node procedure and describe her hand.

The lymph node procedure is practically obsolete but they do it anyway even tho it has no therapeutic value.
