And as I'm sure you can tell, the whole "mystery" aspect of the universe & existence is sometimes more than a bit frustrating/fearful for me. (I actually know the reason for this, and I'm working, albeit gradually, to erase those tapes).

I agree entirely, and while I (and my husband) do mourn for the physical beauty of my lost hair, our increase in knowledge (that can be used to avoid future error, as well as sharing with others) is already a blessing that far outweighs any physical attribute. In fact, this is could be a consequence of NOT listening to my self intuition. From the very start I 'quickened' and had several red flags about relying upon Science & allopathic md's & research to treat my body...but my "logic" pushed it aside or smothered it. It seems a harsh consequence, but sometimes a "board upside da head' is the only thing that will get my attention.

Obviously (now to me) it's essential for me to advance less gradually to erase the fear/frustration of reliance upon my intuition. This doesn't come close to equaling the 'hurt' that caused my left-brain to become so controlling, (thankfully I didn't need THAT big of a board!)...but it certainly has been an attention grabber, that's for sure.

As far as the pendulum, actually, my husband has been certified by Melody as a Master of Crystology...and if I'd had any doubt or confusion about what aspect of my body/energy was being affected, we would have had a session. Thank you for your suggestion/reminder. If my symptoms don't continue to lessen while being off the iodine, I will utilize that tool.
