...but a LOT was "upgraded" and/or eliminated :)Re: Nothing changed
Thank you (most appreciatively) for you concern & post. I've been meaning to 'get with you' about salt-water flushing for months (I really have learned a lot from your posts!)
When I said "nothing has changed", I meant that nothing has changed that could possibly have created the effects that I'm experiencing now...except the iodine.
I've done MUCH 'changing' (which I'd think is better refered to as "upgrading" :) to our diets and lifestyles in the past eleven years (that's how long it's been since I've been seriously 'back on the bandwagon' of natural health. that I'd been jumping on & off of since the late 70's). But none of those upgrades has ever had the potential to cause this type of reaction and symptoms of estrogen loss. (things like eliminating ALL gmo foods, eliminating all trans-fat and toxic fats; starting to grow and eat organic sprouts; organic juice fasting for healing 'undefineables'; stopping all supplements that aren't food based; eliminating all household chemicals and body care products; adding daily organic super-food drinks; making sure our daily diet 'adds up' to the appropriate vitamin/mineral content; adding meditation, exercise, sunlight, etc, etc.
I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record (and it certainly not meant "at you" -or anyone specifically), but I just don't get it (why everybody seems SO convinced it couldn't be the iodine). We already KNOW that
Iodine causes either a lack/loss/lessening of estrogen, or it effects the hormone receptors in some way to make the body *think* there's a lack of estrogen. That why
Iodine cures excess-estrogen caused diseases...and all the 'original posters' on this forum shared all that information early on.
If I was one of the ones that reached sufficiency in a month at 50mg, that means I averaged around 30-60mg of
Lugol's daily that my body had to throw off (or detox from, however you want to think of it). It's not so strange that taking 'more than sufficient' quantities of something that is KNOWN to lessen estrogen in some manner, would have caused me to experience all the realities and symtpoms of estrogen loss.
:::sigh:::
It's taken a decade to create bodies for my husband and myself that are incredibly healthy at our age...the list of symptoms and dis-eases we've eliminated really is phenomenal. I always & forever want to learn more about everything...but in my case, I am sure that
Iodine is the root of this particular issue. Since I've been off iodine for a month, every aspect of the symptomology has lessened or disappeared.
Again, thank you truly. I seriously appreciate & respect. your level of knowledge (and your time).
Blessings,
Uny
