Re: prophecy pls consider John 14:29:
Jesus said..."And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it is come to pass, ye might believe."
More important Scriptural advice re: prophecy --
"...no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation." -- 2 Peter 1:20
Therefore, we absolutely must allow Scripture to define its symbols on its own.
There are 404 verses in the book of Revelation, and out of those 404 verses, 278 of them carry the bulk of the prophetic message of that book. Amazingly, all 278 of those verses can be found almost word for word in all the other books of the Bible!
One prophecy to consider:
I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, Revelation 17:3
Since Scripture defines its own prophetic symbols, what does it say about a "woman" and a "beast?"
Woman = a Church
Jeremiah 6:2 says "I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman."
Beast = a Nation/Kingdom
Daniel 7:17 says, "These great beasts, which are four, are four kings..."
Daniel says the woman (church) will join a beast (nation). Where on earth do we see a church and nation joined as one political entity today? Daniel 7:23 also stated that doing so would make it utterly unique from any nation before or after it. This fullfillment can only be seen in the nation called VATICAN CITY. Furthermore, Vatican City is also the Roman Catholic CHURCH simultaneously.
Let's consider another prophecy:
"...I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast,...having seven heads" Revelation 17:3
John the apostle declares the beast (nation) this woman (church) is sitting on has seven heads. What do these seven heads represent in prophecy? During this vision the angel actually explains what those seven heads mean in reality. Later on in verse nine of the same book he tells John, "The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." ("Mountain" is also defined as "hill." See Strong's Concordance #3735 to confirm.)
Indeed, the Roman Catholic Church admits to the following:
"It is within the city of Rome, called the City on Seven Hills, that the entire area of Vatican State proper is now confined." Catholic Encylopedia, p. 529.
"Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book." (Revelation 22:7)
