I hate to break in on ya'lls wonderful conversation but I wanted to add something:

Of course this forum is about the Last days so I would like to address if I may: This is how I understand the last days or how its revealed to my intellect if you want to call it that. Christians as you know believe in the Jesus as the Son of God and they believe that truth is a person. Jesus said he was The Way , The Truth and the Life so for a christian Jesus is the way ( any other is said to be wrong) and his said he was the Truth ( so truth would be found in him alone) and he said he was the Life ( so to experience true living is found only in him.) Now of course if you don't believe that is true you would look to find your way in other things or other people or even yourself and the same could be said of Truth as well. The last days began when Jesus died and was ascended to Heaven. The kingdom of heaven is at hand was preached early on for all people need to be ready to meet their maker for they don't know when their time will come. God said one day to him is like a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day. I imagine he hasn't come back because people are not ready not because he forgot to do what he said he'd do but because of mercy. Jesus is called " The Word" so we look for truth in the word until we have understanding. Hope you don't mind me sharing some of my thoughts.
This is off the beaten path in a way but scientists say that the effects of global warming cannot be reversed even if we made all the necessary changes, since the bible says the earth will not be destroyed by a flood but by fire, maybe he is just waiting for everything to be fulfilled as man plunders in his own wisdom. We know we don't have the wisdom of God if we do things to destroy the very planet that we live on and even though we know this now we still did not heed the warning. Money among other things were more important and still are. The choices we make will determine our outcome, money burns quickly in the fire.
