Its only ok if used during vigorous exercise as its being used as fuel.

Still it says MOST but not all of the glutamine is being used for fuel before it can accumulate in the brain.

He also advises against it in high doss. I looked at my whey protein powder and it contains 4g glutamine per scoop.

That doesnt mean it is safe to be used even by athletes during the time they are NOT exercising wile glutamine is taken. Thats how I understand it.

How much is too much?!?! Where does the damage begin?

If we eat complete proteins they are broken down slowly so there arent any high levels of glutamine entering the blood which would be converted into glutamate. Processed whey protein powder or even more pure glutamine powder releases glutamine in higher than normal amounts into the bloodstream which will then make it to the brain.
