Re: Anyway try Jordan Rubin's Guts and Glory Program?
From the book "Restoring Your Digestive Health."
pg. 218/219: Phase One is the most difficult phase of the Guts and Glory Program. Approach this phase as though you were in training for an Olympic sport or the military. Be diligent. The goals of Phase One are to Rest and Repair. You should feel better right off the bat because your intestines will get a rest. However, you may feel somewhat weak and fatigued. You will have fewer bowel movements and less bleeding. You may experience sweating, but that is okay. At the end of Phase One, you will start to believe for the first time that you will get well.
The Brasco Broth may be causing your gas, however, you will/can react to most everything you eat. Stay the course; it will pass.
Also, does the
Bentonite clay cause fatigue or have any bad effects like dehydration by blocking the absorption of minerals and vitamins? I'm taking 2 Tbs twice a day.
pg. 194. Clay: Clay is good for the intestines. It soothes flare-ups. It absorbs toxins in the intestines and helps remove them from the body. The theory is that clay's minerals are negatively charged while toxins are positively charged, and the clay works like a magnet to dray the toxins out. Clay is also a source of minerals. pg 221 state you should take 4 tablespoons of clay in 8
ounces of water until symptoms resolve and stool is formed.
2life with your condition, anything you take can cause fatigue.
pg 215: Phase One and Phase Two of the Guts and Glory Program last seven to fourteen days each. If yours is a severe case of bowel disease and you follow the program "to a tee" but you do not improve after twenty-eight days, the Guts and Glory Program most likely will not work for you. By the same token, if you go through the first two phases in six day, you are not giving this program a chance. You are not giving yourself a chance, either. Give this program a chance and it will very likely work for you just as it has worked for thousands of others.
pg 216: Getting well from a severe, so-called incurable disease is never as easy as taking a pill or undergoing a treatment. It requires making some fundamental changes in the way you eat, the way you play, the way you excercise, and the way you live your life. GETTING WELL IS A PROCESS. IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME. YOU TAKE THREE STEPS FORWARD AND ONE STEP BACK.
pg 217: Sometimes overcoming an illness means dropping out of your normal life for a while. It means making certain sacrifices. Focus on yourself. If that sounds difficult, remember that the investment you make in improving your health pays great dividends in the long run. You will have more energy and stamina. You will feel good about yourself. You will get your heath back.
2life, I know you have the book and have probalbly already read the above. But, I thought if I typed it out and you read it again it would be of some encouragement to you. I would like to suggest that you follow this program exactly as he presents it in the book.
Use only the products he recommends. Try to make sure everything you eat for at least phase one and phase two is organic. Detox your environment. Use a shower filter. (no chlorine) Get plastics out of your environment or anything toxic for that matter. I hope I do not offend you by what I am going to say next: If you cannot afford the total program as is, I would be more than happy to have shipped to you the things you need. No strings attached. Absolutely free.
May God Bless And Keep You
P.S. The Sonne's #7 Detoxificant clay was the only thing my nephew stuck with.
And Redwood Hills Farms yogurt is the only commercial yogurt I have ever been able to find in stores. It is good yogurt. You may like kefir better and it is better for you than yogurt.
