how long can parasites/bacteria live outside body?

i was wondering if i have managed to re infect my self by wearing clothes that i havent worn since before i did a cleanse. my symtoms cleared up but now have reappeared. how long can parasites or bacteria surive outside the body? it has probably been a couple of mopnths since i wore the clothes...i will now have to do another cleanse but am worried about the damage caused by Wormwood to the brain/kidneys. so i also wanted to ask if the Wormwood in the 'all in one' Black-Walnut /wormwood/cloves tincture is harmful at all? thanks all.
