Hi! Personal experience from many friends with fibromyalgia. Both fibro and simple low thyroid seem to come with restless legs. But you might want to find out if you have simple fibromyalgia. There is a doctor who has a test that is definitive about 75% of the time. He's at Stopfibro.com. His name is Dr. Paul Whitcomb and he had fibro and cured himself, and many others, myself included. He has a book, which you might find informative. Amazon has it: "Fibromyalgia: Finally, solving the mystery." There's a chapter on restless legs in the book. Many of the other patients at the doctor's clinic in South Lake Tahoe had restless legs before they came, but that symptom went away after a couple weeks of treatment. This doc can tell if you're one of the people he can help with his simple test, and if you are, it's a real miracle to get well in 8 weeks. I like to sleep now that I can, and the fibro is a thing of the past. All the other ladies who were treated with me are doing well, too, and rebuilding our health. Our glands all got depleted from the stress of various pains, and that led to restless legs for many, most likely from thyroid collapse. While the thyroid is a fairly delicate gland, it will recover quickly if it has the stress removed. I no longer have to take thyroid hormones, and still take adrenal bio-identical hormones, and do very well. Good luck to you.
