Here goes...

If I were you... I would seek the advice of a sympathetic natural health professional. Without my excellent naturopath I could never have self-diagnosed my problems, and she helped me to formulate a game plan and see it through. I was lucky to have her. She is an RN, a Naturopath, an iridologist, nutritionist and colonic therapist all in one, and a very sensible down to earth person besides!

It sounds like your filters (kidneys and liver particularly) are not doing well. It absolutely is important to be sure you are free of parasites, which you are doing, and a clean colon is critical! All the fluids in your body are filtered through the walls of your colon, back into your bloodstream. If the walls of your colon are coated with toxic sludge (as mine certainly were)... dirty fluids! There is nothing like a series (usually three, much more in my case) of professional colonics for removing gunk from the colon walls. I did herbal cleanses etc. etc., but for me the most powerful treatments were juice fasting and professional colonics.

If you decide to do colonics, SHOP for a quality therapist! Make sure he or she is certified, has had lots of experience and state of the art equipment. Get a tour of the work area and see before you sign up. You should be looking at some very high tech equipment, with a nice glass viewing area where you can actually see the stuff that comes out before it is flushed down the drain (a closed system). A good professional colonic should be a pleasant experience! Ask the therapist their philosophy. They should provide colonic massage during the procedure to help remove gunk. A good therapist can tell you a lot about the state of your colonic health! Plan on having a series of three, which should cost about $50 each. This is a small investment in your health, and will tell you a lot about whether you want to pursue it yourself and get a board, or just do maintenance pro colonics periodically, as I do.

The candida is a big concern. Yeast can travel throughout our bodies (even into the brain!) once it has filtered through the colon back into the blood stream where it is filtered through the liver... the blood can carry it everywhere and it can set up housekeeping in some strange and troublesome areas. If you suspect candida you should treat it aggressively with a special diet which in general

eliminates sugars and artifical sweeteners (candida feeds on sugar). Use stevia if you need to sweeten.

LIMIT grains, eliminating grains totally for a week or two to start with, then adding back sparingly (up to four half cup servings daily).

Avoid fruits and fruit juices, except Granny Smith apples and lemon juice.

Avoid all canned and frozen juices--stick to fresh vegetable juices.

Avoid yeast containing foods--breads, alcohol, commercial salad dressings, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, pickles, relish etc.

Avoid mushrooms and cheese, which contain or actually are molds and yeast.

Avoid peanuts and peanut butter. Almond butter, tahini are ok.

Avoid commercial dairy products except butter and PLAIN yogurt (not low fat) in small amounts (up to half cup a day)

Avoid or limit coffee, tea, pepper and tobacco which accumulate molds in the drying process.

Avoid meat, fish and poultry that is pickled, smoked or dried.

A TOUGH DIET!

You can eat

Low starch veggies, well cooked beans, good quality lean meats, nuts and seeds (soak overnight in purified water), green vegetable juices (fruit has too much sugar--limit carrots); Granny Smith apples in moderation, stevia as a sweetener in moderation, gluten/yeast free breads, raw almond butter, pasta (quinoa or rice are good), plain yogurt or keifer, unsweetened, in moderation; hot air popcorn in moderation... and eggs.

Include plenty of gren vegetables, and do use fresh garlic and fresh ginger, both of which assist the cleanse.

Anyone with Candida would do well to follow this eating plan for a period of time. You may experience detox symptoms during this diet (headaches, body aches, food cravings, irritability etc.). Drink lots of pure water, and fresh juices.

You can get excellent natural candida cleanses at a good natural food store. Follow the plan (usually 15-30 days) while adhering to the diet. You can take a good probiotic daily during this time to help establish good bacteria.

In a month you should definitely see improvement if Candida has been a problem for you.

Have you flushed your liver? Unfortunately it sounds as though you are in poor physical condition, and the flush should be done when you are built up a bit... I would do the Candida program (presuming you are parasite free), then proceed to a good cleansing, rebuilding diet and when you are feeling well, do a series of Liver Flushes (this will reflect in the whites of your eyes).

If your eyes are red, there is also the possibility you have an infection or parasite. You should have this checked by an opthalmologist and follow the program (I had red eyes despite all the cleansing I have done--found out I had eyelash parasites that were throwing their trash in my eyes! got rid of them and voila! white!)

I highly recommend you get a book like Renew Your Life, Improved Digestion and Detoxification by Brenda Watson, ND, CT (www.renewyourlife.com) and read up! Edcuate yourself, consult with a good natural health pro. Find out what the root of your problem is and get a program going to set it right!

Whatever your health goals, I am a poster child--you can do it!

Best,
Somer
