I found, while taking the TOS survey, etc., that my name had been added to a couple of "candidate" lists and asked that it be removed.

If anonymity could be guaranteed, then I might consider it. When I was Chat Host, I felt that I was doing a service for AOL and it's members, and that's what an acting Moderator should understand: it's a service, not a position of power and control.  The Moderator who was compelled to contact me via an unsolicited/uninvited email not only did herself a disservice, but she did disservice to Curezone, Dusan, and the members.

When individuals are approached to provide a service or offered a position, they can always politely decline.
