There is a SAD forum here - it hasn't had many posts, but you may be able to glean some information there:

You might want to check out mercola.com and see what information you can find there.
Also, I think I've heard something about the importance of taking cod liver oil during those winter months, might want to check on that.
It does seem like the proper lights is the main solution, from what I've heard.
