Re: Cry5B & Bacillus thuringiensis (slight edit)
Very cool info, Ana. I've read a bunch on this since the post a couple weeks back and have gone to pretty extreme measures to get my hands on some. The only product I found was at a nursery, and it most definitely has a petroleum base, but has the strongest amount (15%) available without a license. Believe it or not I did swab some, and tried to neb it. The neb didn't really make it vapor, or it was a bad attempt on my part (the way I poured it in? not sure). I realize I'm probably doing something really awful in the process (if nebbed), so I haven't proceeded beyond the failed effort.
But on a q-tip - it completely opened my sinuses. A few days later they went back to swollen, but this time more on the right whereas before it was the left.
I must say, Ana, sinus problems did NOT exist for me until this past summer. I believe now that for many years I frenzied my way around my busy world, stressed to the max. The physical symptom at that time (beyond extreme inability to slow down, sleep, relax at all, stop for one second) was this insane chest pressure which caused me to hyperventilate, proceed to a full scale physical panic attack (nothing emotional would bring it on). It permeated life, it was life.
Once I decided this was not normal (even hooked up with a psych for several months who finally told me that she thought my issues were medical - imagine that. A shrink who actually could see beyond her own profession's vernacular) I decided to put my foot down and not accept it any longer.
Here is my point. I finally, one year ago this week, left. I left everything. I moved to one of the most remote and northern areas of Maine - left my businesses and the chaos of Miami for three months. It was then, when I finally could allow my mind to slow down, that the sinus stuff began. It had until then all been in my throat, chest, and deep in my sinus cavity - so deep it went without detection as sinus related or systemic in nature.
ONLY after full scale war with Candida did what were so clearly multicellular microbes (parasites) show themselves. The ova only at first, and the more I did to clear the Candida, the more visible these clear or white things begin to come from the sinuses. (Clear with a grey line if from lungs/clear with gray dot if ova like from lung)
One way to possibly get a better sense for what you are seeing is to try placing one in a small cup of rubbing alcohol. They become much more "worm" looking if they are 'sites. Best case scenario would be to get a sinus swab culture. I did this over the summer and labs came back with high/extreme on Candida count. They tested only for fungus at that time.
I'm about to do another with what I've got now to "present" (nice). I do not expect an ordinary lab to identify a
parasite of the mulitcellular variety, but I am curious to learn what my Candida count might be now. I'm trying to put together a puzzle.
What you describe could be anything. If you described it further I might have a different take, feel strongly it is one issue or the other, a combo - or nothing real abnormal at all.
It's so interesting to me how individual bodies will react differently to more or less the same organism and/or shortcoming in nutritional status. I almost believe whatever we harbor is 100% unique to each of us - but a family member of one bacteria, virus, pathogen, etc. This whole co-infection/biowarefare stuff brings about much to ponder.
