How often did you grow and learn when life was easy? Generally we don't because we're intrinsically lazy. Pain and suffering disappear as 'things' that can affect us when we realise nonduality. I'm not saying that we cannae get hurt or ill, but we don't become attached to the experience as before.

This is why I reckon we have so much 'pain' and 'suffering'. Because we need it in order to rise, like Prometheus, from the ashes of our trance like state into new, more intelligent( at all levels) modes of existence. I honestly feel lucky to have this stuff to go through as I know if I didn't I'd just be bumbling along fast asleep trying to cover up all the demons, lies and illusions that keep me snoring :-)
