I would use a little boric acid compound sprinkled in the carpet and the floors.
Treat the whole house at the same time. Sweep it in. Then leave for 8 hours, taking your animals out of the home too.
This kills the larvae in the home which could be reinfecting your animal over and over. I have had good sucess with this. Also you can use a fragrance free wet wipe to soothe your animal and get off topical parastites and dirt that could be irritating them. Both my dog and cat really enjoy this and seem to benefit from this daily wipe down.
