Re: Dog skin parasites
Huh? So you are giving about 30% Meat and 10% bone which is 40% total? Are you really feeding 60% fruits and vegeatbles? Unless there was a typo or you wrote it wrong... Wow that is way off. Dogs aren't vegetarians.
Ideally, it's about 60%- 65% Raw Meaty Bones which is something like a Chicken Leg.
You're right about the 30-35%, but that is for boneless meats..which would be in addition to a raw MEATY bone.
Then 5% Organ meat.
Where did you or your vet come up with only 10%?? Unless you're talking about bone with little to no meat on them like chicken necks and in that case, you'd have to make up for it in the rest of the diet..which would make it about 90% meat..
Unless you were reading info on cats who only need about 10% bone, figuring when you compare it to their natural diet, a small bird and a mouse is more meaty than bony.
Vegetables are controversal, there are mixed opinions on whether a dog really needs them or not and a lot of people don't feed them at all. But if you do feed them, they should be about 5%..10% the most.
