conducting new experiment

This time it involves messing around with genetics. I am curious about this yeast in my gut which is very dominant since the elevated BLASTO counts. I have had this yeast in culture for some time, and there was a mold which grew in the same plate. I want to know if this mold is related to the yeast. I have taken a minute sample of the mold and centrifuged it at 35,000 rpm. It was on a small disk, which I imprinted on a fresh plate.
I will observe any growth on the plate and will isolate individual growths.
If a yeast product forms from this, it will indicate a genetic connection to the mold. This could be a significant indication, should this happen. Shroom
