Been there done that
Honey, know what you mean. I was diagnoised with Costochondritis (inflammation of the rib cartilidge) which is almost debilitating. I first joined a support group on Yahoo. I ended up at CZ from all my searching, and amazingly enough, I cured myself of this (which the docs could not do for over 3 years). Of COURSE I went back to that group to tell them. Man o man did I get lambasted...big time. And I was offended actually. If you go on that group, there is so much drug use, and surgery (scraping cartilidge - yikes), people getting electrodes inserted in their spines...the list goes on and on. By posting all my new found alt health protocols, I was told I was a quack, and not at all supportive of people looking for help. OMG....At first I got pissed. Then I thought, well, it's the internet, no one is in my face yelling at me (which would be horrible). Once I realized that I could post and then read responses without emotion I truly crossed over.
But here's the deal. You have no idea how many people are reading those posts. Perhaps thousands. These are people that will not necessarily believe the debators. I've had many many women secretly email me from those Yahoo posts asking me more. Many are here now. Some have gone back to post their own miraculous pain relief and get the same treatment as I.
You don't need to get into a debate. You just post and walk away and only answer question from people that want to know more. Totally ignore the rest.
There are tons of allopathic sites stating studies on Iodine. My best friend is an OB/GYN and she's reading up on it because of my carefully selected links for her. She's not ready to discuss this yet with me, but it's the first time I've gotten her attention.
I love the people at CZ. Perhaps a few could hurt my feeling because I've know them for awhile, but not many. I'm definitely not always right, but I believe what I believe and post fearlessly.
The beauty of the net regarding free speech is self evident. It has set us all free. I hope it stays this way.
Go for it....what are they going to do to you? Probably make you buy the next round of virtual drinks.....boo ha.
