Re: Currently Experiencing a VERY Rapid Recovery (Regimen Included)

i had the RAST panel done for tons of different foods that i am reacting to and nothing comes up in the bloodwork.

if you have food "sensitivities" which is what most of us have and not a "true allergy" they won't show up in blood work. this is a good thing! that means as we heal, things will clear up. i have never had any allergies in my life prior to this. so mine are all immune responses.

as for a gluten intolerance...you could try some gluten free grains individually and see how you do. you could try buckwheat pancakes or quinoa or something like that. i can't tolerate any grains at all. it doesn't even matter if they are gluten free. there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind my food reactions . my body is just rejecting everything i try to put into it. it can be an extremely low carb food with no sugar, and i still have issues.

i am surprised you are never hungry. i guess everyone is different. if i don't eat for 4+ hrs i start getting really really bad hunger pains and my stomach gets so upset sometimes i feel nauseous. i don't get the weak shaky hypoglycemic feeling, but i feel very sick to my stomach. i crave protein and salt really bad but i seem to do ok without the Sugar or carbs. it is only when i have a small taste of something that sends me into really bad cravings for all those foods i can't eat anymore.

lately i have been trying things one at time to see how i do and it has been really discouraging. the only food i have been able to add back in on a daily basis is raw fermented cabbage. everything else i have tried caused a reaction...some mild, some severe.

i used to eat nuts a lot and yogurt and a bunch of other stuff i can no longer have. i was probably having a reaction to them the whole time i was eating them but didn't realize it at the time. it took me over six months to figure out what foods were causing what symptoms. now i have it down to a science!

i did myself in last night with a few tablespoons of almond butter. i just couldn't resist and before you know it i plowed thru a 1/4 of the jar! lol. i paid for it and i am still feeling pretty awful today and will continue to do so over the next week i am sure. i also tried some spelt bread yesterday and had a reaction and i tried peanut butter the night before. so i have really been overdoing it. the more i overdo things the worse the reactions get and then eventually i crash out and my body starts rejecting everything so i really need to cool it. it is so hard to live day in and day out off of the same meals though. we are supposed to rotate foods so we don't become allergic to even more stuff, but i would love to know how you rotate between 10 things? it is kinda impossible!!!

i know in my particular case, consistency is a major factor in the healing process. but i just can't seem to stay on track for more than a few months at a time because my diet is sooooo restricted. i just want to be able to add back in some healthy whole foods. i am not looking to eat sugar, or drink alcohol or anything of the sort. i just wish i could eat a few grains, some fruits once in awhile, a little dairy, etc. living off of chicken all the time gets depressing.

the only suggestion i can give you is to try foods one at a time and don't overdo them like i do! i always overdo it and then i crash out. luckily i get a response anywhere from 1 min to 1 hr after eating. others have delayed reactions and that is probably why they can't determine what is causing some of their symptoms. not everything is a food reaction though. my mom only has a few food sensitivities and she is suffering from AF as well. she has different symptoms than me. she goes into a full fledged panic attacks in the middle of the night after she has eaten an offending food. i don't experience anxiety or panic anymore. i did for the first three months but it went away when i started elminating foods.
