My advice if you are just starting would be to take the recommended dose until you start to feel better, then continue for two or three weeks. After that you can experiment alternating a few weeks on and a few weeks off until you find the right balance. You your ate not noticing any improvement after about six weeks, then stop for a month or so before trying kelp again. Supplements like kelp, herbal laxatives, digestive enzymes and some vitamins should not be used daily for long periods of time. Switching off and on with supplements can avoid making the body dependent or risking taking too many.
