I have a four year old. Today is day one of my third MC.

Here is what I do and have found in the past:

For the first few days, I cook vegetables, make sandwiches and give her fruit because they do not smell as strong as some other things. Smells are a strong trigger for hunger for me.

Then, a few days into it when I feel better, I move on to pasta, pizza, etc. At that point, I actually enjoy the smell of the food and it does not make me hungry. After a few days, weight drops off, skin looks clear and glowing, energy is up, eyes are bright and it makes it easier because I see and feel a difference in my appearance and mood.

Also, caffeine addiction (however slight) makes the first few days a misery. I quit all caffeine two weeks before starting my MC. I feel so much more able to do it when I don't have a headache.
