Sorry, forgot to answer your question. I have a hubby, 8-year-old & 5-year-old, and here's what I did. I wrote out a menu, a fairly simple one--nothing overly wonderful (like pulled pork!!). It's basically this: quesadillas, hot dogs, hamburgers, pancakes, pasta--easy stuff like that. So I know ahead of time what I'll be making, so I don't have to ponder over foods, I can just do it on autopilot. I did that for the whole 10 days. My husband is aware that he can either have what the kids are eating or he fends for himself. Hope that helps!
