Re: plenty of shame to go around

Trapper,
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You look at Waco and see a Federal Government run amuck. I look at Waco and see a religious despot you was responsible for the murder of a number of innocent women and children. I am not claiming the Feds were blameless, but David Koresh dug his own grave and unfortunately the graves of a lot of other good people. What he did to those children is beyond comprehension. Koresh was in violation of many Federal laws - that was quite an emormous cache of weapons, many of them clearly illegal. He had many chances to surrender. What one does to ones self is ones own business, but to not get the kids out goes beyond criminal. He only had one thing on his mind the whole time - martyrdom, and he figured the killing of children and women would raise this to the next level. And he was right. He is still much talked about today. Which is amazing. Someone as evil as he was, who raped as many girls as he did (yes, a thirty year old having sex with 14 year olds is rape, regardless of consent), why won't he just dissappear?? Koresh is just another evil fundamentalist like Bin Laden. They give religion and decency a bad name. If you believe in heaven and hell, then there is no doubt where our friend David is. I hope he brought a fan....
