Well said, 21676. Anyone capable and willing to see past their TV knows that 911 was our modern day Pearl Harbor, and the present U.S. governement complex (all of it, from the administration, through the Senate/Congress, and each department, and ending with the Pentagon / military / industrial complex that includes a complicit, propaganda tool - the media) is our modern day nazi empire. Despite the decades separating them they are near mirror image staged events leading to subsequent agendas (war, the profiteering therein while further re-shaping the world landscape) . I'm just taking a guess that for many people, it' is a lot easier in the short term for them to veg out on TV and other distractions rather than confronting and admitting the awful truth and shame in this.

A minute ago I logged onto CZ to make a new post that I'd intended to put in the Conspiracy forum. In real life,  Conspiracy and Politics are inseperable, and generally interchangable terms. Here, they are separate. I'll gladly move this to it's own thread if you don't want it occupying the same space as your thread. This is the text version of The American Dream routine by George Carlin and his most recent performance - Life Is Worth Losing.  It made it's rounds on Youtube a few months back. I've watched it many times now. I was having a slow day today so I watched it again while typing up a text version. In my opinion, this should be required reading for anyone looking to be informed or educated on the present situation we live in. In about 5 minutes time, George does a good job quickly pulling together the dominate forces that summarizes the situation that, world wide, has spent the past 75 years, conservatively, in comign to it's present. Anyone who knows George knows vulgarity is part of his schtick. I cleaned that up, but the irony is, there are a lot of vulgarities involved in bringing us to the present situation. 

…..professional, compulsive consumers, they think of this as their national pride, their civic duty; consumption! It’s the new national past time. Bleep baseball; it’s CONSUMPTION!  The only true, lasting American value that’s left; buying things. People spending money they don’t have on things they don’t need, so they can max out their credit cards and spend the rest of their lives paying 18% interest on something that cost $12.50; and they didn’t like it when they got it home anyway….. not too bright, folks. But if you talk to one of them about this, if you isolate them, sit them down and rationally talk about the low IQs, the dumb behavior, the bad decisions, right away they start talking about (squeaky voice) “education”. That’s the big answer to everything; “ education”. They say we need more money for education, more books, more teachers, and more classrooms; we need more testing! Then if you say to them “well, ya know, we’ve tried all that and the kids still can’t pass the tests”. But then they say “well, that’s alright, don’t worry about that, we’re gonna lower the passing grades”. And that’s what they are doing now. A lot of these schools are lowering the passing grades so more kids can pass; more kids pass, the school looks good, everybody is happy and the IQ of the country slips another two or three points. Pretty soon all you’ll need to get into college is a pencil; “got a pencil?, get in there, it’s bleepin Physics”. Then everyone wonders why seventeen other countries graduate more scientists than we do…… “education!”. Politicians know that word. They use it on you. Politicians have traditionally hidden behind three things: the flag; the bible; and children. (authoritative voice) “no child left behind”. Oh really? Well, it wasn’t all that long ago you were talking about giving kids a Head Start; Head Start, Left Behind…. somebody’s losing ground here! But there’s a reason. There’s a reason for this. There’s a reason why education SUCKS! It’s the same reason why it will never, ever be fixed. It’s never going to get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you’ve got. Because the owners of this country don’t want that. I’m talking about the real owners. The big, wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians; they are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You don’t! You have no choice. You have owners. They OWN YOU! They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control all the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the State Houses, the City Halls, and they’ve got all the judges in their back pockets; and they own all the big media companies, so they get to control just about all the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls! They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want; they want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But, I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They are not interested in that. That doesn’t help their interests. They don’t want that. They don’t want people smart enough to sit around the kitchen table figuring out how badly they are getting bleeped by a system that through them overboard bleeping years ago!  They don’t want that. Ya know what they want? They want (authoritative voice) obedient workers. They want people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime, and the vanishing pension that disappears the moment you go to collect it. And now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your bleeping retirement money; they want it back! So they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later; ‘cause they own this bleepin place. It’s a big club; and you and I are not in the Big Club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long. All day long they are beating you over the head with their media, telling you what to believe, what to think, and what to buy. The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged….. and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good, honest, hard working people; white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color of shirt you have on… good, honest, hard working people…. some of these are people of modest means… good, honest hard working people who continue to elect these rich bleepsuckers who don’t give a bleep about them….they don’t give a bleep about you, THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU at all…..AT ALL!.... and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on; the fact that many Americans will continue to remain willfully ignorant of that red, white and blue dildo being jammed up their bleepholes  every day….. because the owners of this country know the truth; it’s called The American Dream…….because you have to be asleep to believe it.
