Re: I am ashamed...
21676, this is a somewhat drawn out, friendly tip about your previous post of your thoughts on the voting.
Your post has been clicked on over 30 times. It's not an exact science, but this means your post has probably been read by a lot more than 3 people. For whatever reason, only 3 chose to weigh in with a "vote". In the world of spin - a world that we are all well conditioned to, there are those who will try to make a lot of "to do" about "33 percent of the votes this way verus the much bigger 'mandate' [popular spin word] of 66 percent of the vote that way". FWIW, I personally can discern some rationale from those who don't vote moreso than I can from those who do. With some exceptions, I think the majority of those who do do so more so out of petty behavior...perhaps even angst from how badly our system of voting in the real world has been corrupted and rendered near-useless to the voter. Across CZ as a whole, many many more people click/read posts than those who then vote on posts they read. Among other tells, this just goes to show that "voting" is not all it's cracked up to be. To top it off, the voting system here is one that the meere discussion of how this system here is used is likely to touch off a brief storm of voting that will then quickly subside.
There is one thing that I like about the voting facility here compared to the one people avail themvselves to in the so-called real world of political voting; the real world does not provide any credible assurance whatsoever for each voter to know that there vote was in fact faithfully counted / tabulated in adherence to how it was cast. The system here at CZ is used so little that this in turn allows the relative few voters to see fairly instantaneous results of their vote.
Moral to the tip - don't waste too much time, thought or energy on how the voting results appear.
PS - once again, I am in total agreement with you. The notion of "voting" is just one of many notions that keep people locked into their happy place world of denial.
