i spent all christmas weekend drinking pine needle tea. i really like this stuff, mild but with a nice flavour, kind of earthy and fruity as the same time. hard to explain. i believe i am getting my needles from the red pine, but i am not absolutely certain. the branches look exactly the same as these images, but the trees are bit a smaller and more squat, but that could just be one of those things. thanks so much for the great idea!
