Yes, you can use the yellow pine. When you make the tea it will smell sort of like lemonade. There is no pine scent at all.

I live in North Carolina and and have a lot of long leaf yellow pine needles (loblolly) and short leaf white pine needles.

Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil.

Remove pot from burner.

Add pine needles to the water and close the pot with a lid.

Let steep for 10 to 20 minutes.

Sweeten with honey to taste. But taste very good unsweetened also. Tweet
